Coming up… New Directions in Contemporary Crafts

A couple of months ago, probably longer than that but time’s been whizzing by lately so i’ve lost count of where I am; anyway… I have been invited to take part in a new exhibition called New Directions in Contemporary Craft at Mottisfont Abbey in Hampshire. I’m really excited about this one as my work will be shown alongside other recent graduates and established makers, previous exhibitions i’ve taken part in have been made up of just recent graduates so this is something new, and as I said, exciting!

Here’s a lovely description of my work I have found online here

alongside these established makers the exhibition presents the work of several recent graduates already blazing a trail in their chosen discipline.  louisa finch makes sculptural kiln-cast glass of immense beauty, in glowing, matt colour.

I shall be delivering some of my work there tomorrow and delivering the rest on the day of the preview – cutting it fine yes, but I am delivering the pieces there directly from the Libensky award in Prague, it’s going to be a hectic couple of days but well worth it.

Find the Mottisfont Abbey National Trust page here.

The exhibition will run from 1st December to the 27th January, hopefully some of you will be able to make it; i’ll be showing some of my larger pieces as well as a collection of my smaller pieces which help to show the development of my work.
